Rasd School Hub

Local hub for the school

Rasd School Hub is a local server connecting teacher platforms and student apps via the school's Wi‑Fi. Its main role is internal synchronization; it can optionally act as a local AI agent when a powerful machine running Gemma 4 is available.

Two roles in one device when the equipment allows

The hub works as a local synchronizer even without Gemma 4. The AI agent role requires a computer capable of running the model efficiently.

🌐

Local sync server

Enables package and result exchange within the school via the local network, reducing dependence on permanent internet.

  • Delivering packages to student apps within the school.
  • Receiving student results locally.
  • Later sync with rasd.education when internet is available.
🤖

Local AI agent (optional)

With Gemma 4 installed on the same computer, the hub becomes a central point benefiting teachers via the local network, without needing a model on each machine.

  • Reducing the need for multiple powerful computers.
  • One central model within the school.
  • Teacher platforms benefit from AI via a single configuration.
Why it matters

Why does this matter?

In practice, teachers' computers are often of average power. One powerful computer can turn the hub into both a sync center and an AI service point simultaneously.

01

Teacher with standard computer

Uses the Rasd platform without the burden of running a large model.

02

Local network

Connects teacher platforms to a central device within the school.

03

One powerful computer

Runs Rasd School Hub and Gemma 4 when available.

04

Shared service

Teachers benefit from synchronization and local AI via a single point.
